Pre-Application Advice

 

If you would like advice about submitting a planning application or whether you will need planning permission the following will be helpful.

The Department for Communities and Local Government  have prepared the following document which will answer many planning related queries.

For householder development you can use the form 'The Need for Planning Permission' to provide us with details to let you know whether you will need planning permission or building regulation consent for an extension or alteration to your home. From 1st January 2007, this service will attract a fee of £25. The form is attached below:

On the 20th December 2001, Denbighshire County Council as Local Planning Authority removed the permitted development rights that applied to dwellinghouses within the Denbigh Conservation Area by establishing an Article 4(2) Direction.

We will be able to provide you with better advice if you first think about how your proposal will fit against the Denbighshire Unitary Development Plan and our Supplementary Planning Guidance. You should also provide us with as much information as possible including sketch plans.
